I spent countless hours as a young child building plastic model kits of all types. My favorites were the aircraft kits but I sometimes made a warship and when I got into model railroads I built some of the building I used on my layout from plastic kits.
It is a very useful talent to learn and I am sure it helped me become a far more practical and methodical person than I would have been otherwize.
